Christopher Brockbank

Personal:
I have wanted to fly since I was in short trousers and actually, I am a frustrated fighter pilot. In less than two years, the RAF decided to dispense with my services and I then worked as a building labourer while I considered my options. My original intention was to become an airline pilot after about 10 years. I then joined Kodak as a management trainee, initially in London, and left 25 years later when the company lost its way. I kept my pilot's licence going for a while towing gliders. My next stop was a short one with a Bunzl company in Basildon, that spread glue on paper and plastic. It soon reorganised and I moved to Extra Special Vehicles plc near Banbury, which built horseboxes and motorcaravans. That went bust 18 months later and I found it have not been paying my pension contributions.

Experience:
The above events caused me to join Allied Dunbar in Oxford in 1991 where I covered all aspects of financial planning. I built a successful business over an 18 year period which I sold a few years ago. Since then I have been a business adviser for the Abingdon Museum Appeal and also worked as a kitchen designer for Moben.

Now I have returned the fray to focus on Protection issues and Wills, particularly in the Business Market; I have known the Directors of Prosperity for many years and decided that they were the best people to work with given the markets that I wished to focus upon.

I immediately retrained as a Financial Adviser with Abbey Life because I enjoy working in Financial Services using my technical expertise and skills to help clients obtain the products they need.
